KANPUR: Emboldened with the spirit of victory in recently held Bar Association’s poll, a few advocates were hanging about in a fit of intoxicating drink on the road in Saket Nagar here on Wednesday late night.
Just then the police jeep taking the Circle officer happened to pass by the way, a drunk advocate suddenly came in front of the vehicle. He was saved as the driver applied brake immediately. This was enough to show how much he was influenced by the drink.
When the police officer’s motor passed away, the routine night duty policeman appeared before the overjoyed advocates. He stopped them but they started misbehaving with him.
Following their rash behaviour the policeman informed the police station and soon a police force reached on the spot. Seeing the presence of police personnel, the advocates thought it reasonable to leave the place.
A report against unidentified advocates for causing obstruction in the government work was registered on the written application of the police. The accused will soon be arrested after their identification, as was assured by the police inspector.
