KANPUR: Tuesday remained partially cloudy and partly sunny throughout the day. Rains did not occur in spite of the patches of the clouds splattered over the blue sky.
In the early morning, there were showers but it did not continue a little longer in Jajmau area.
Though the residents remained quite optimistic of the downpours the situation appeared to be not conducive for the required amount of rains in this part of the business City.
The day temperature kept on hovering between 34° Celsius and 26° Celsius. At about 5 pm the hourly temperature was registered at 32°Celsius with a real feel of 40° Celsius. The humidity stood at 74° this evening hours.
Talking to different people living at area's localities it has been confirmed that all of them are waiting for the rains in order to get rid of the unbearable humid weather. They are sanguine of the fact that the hope is still not dashed. After all, the month of Sawan is followed by Bhadra, a month of heavy rains.
