KANPUR: The Kanpur Zoo will soon obtain one pair of African breed zebra in its spacious area. Though it has already been possessing one female zebra, the fresh stock will definitely add splendid strength to its animals’ variety. A big amount has been approved for transportation of the jungle creature to the Allen Forest zoo here.
The animals' lovers would love to realise that the zoo authorities were determined to include one more supposedly male zebra in its fold in the approaching year. It has also been made clear that the state government has consented to spend the total amount on its safe transportation. An amount of Rs 33 lakh was supposed to be spent on the transportation ordeal.
Even KK Singh, director, Allen Forest Zoo, has assured that the visitors would soon enjoy the presence of a new pair of zebra in the open surrounding area of the zoo. This will also help to add new progenies of this long-necked animal in the zoo.
