KANPUR: Delay in disposing of the public complaints registered on the IGRS Portal of the state government made the district magistrate a little angrier. He in his words of warning to the Kanpur Municipal Commissioner directed him to resolve the pending grievances within a day.
Making his points pretty clear he even stated if the Nagar Ayukt fails to abide by the directive, a letter to the state government for action would be forwarded. More complaints, fewer disposals are marring the discomfited situation.
Owing to non-settling of the complaints, the ranking of Kanpur Nagar was constantly going downwards. This has caused concern in the district administration. Pendency related to the health department of the Nagar Nigam has reached above one hundred.
It is worth mentioning here that the Uttar Pradesh government has launched the mobile application of registering citizens’ grievances/ suggestions. This application is linked to the Jansunwai (IGRS).
