India: Youngsters enjoying kite flying in lockdown

KANPUR: Kite flying has developed as a time-pass for young and old alike during the pandemic's lockdown days. So long as one's sight reaches, there appears kites flying high in the cloudy or blue sky.

As the youngsters are free from their routine studies they are getting enough time to engage in kite-flying to space on the roof or the terrace while the elders also make it in their free time. 

In the evening hours, the kites cover the open sky and this helps us to view the spectacular sight of the kite fighting. This thing goes on until the darkness envelopes the whole of the area.

Talking to the youngsters who are keenly enjoying the traditional recreation it has been learnt what they really think about.

One 11-year-old boy told that he flies a kite just to shoo away his boredom. Do not you enjoy the moment of kite flying? He swiftly responded, "Of course, it brings a lot of enjoyment but I was still acquiring expertise in this field." Another told that kite flying was as tough as cycling initially.
