India: BBA students relent before KU varsity's officials

Kanpur: The CSJM University's BBA students apologised for their indiscipline and assured the administration to avoid rude behaviour in the future. The Registrar Dr Vinod Kumar Singh said that the students had accepted their grave mistake and promised to behave in a disciplined manner.

They were caught listening to music outside the department by the director. He showed his opposition to this serious discipline. This led to their arguments with the department director. He took their bike's keys and mobile into his possession. Though they approached him to make their apology he did not relent.

On Friday, the students were not allowed to enter the classroom. The director even told them to punish by rustication. Finding the director in such a mood they staged a dharna and started shouting slogans. Their ire did not die down.

Therefore, the Proctor, Dr Neeraj, Dean, Students Welfare Dr Anshu Yadav and other administrative officials tried to understand their problems. The students narrated that power disruption was a constant headache for them. The regular bite of the beehive hurts any student which hampers the study till they do not return in a normal condition.

The chief proctor Dr Neeraj Singh gave assurance to resolve their problems. In the meantime even the police officials from Kalyanur police station also pacified the agitating students.
