India: UPCLDF Chairman's arrival at CHC dazed staff

Kanpur: "No greed for power, only desire of service to people," said Virendra Kumar Tiwari, UPCLDF Chairman on Tuesday afternoon at Bidhnu CHC inspection here on Tuesday. He stayed there for a few minutes in the middle of his journey break for Mahoba.

It was a surprise visit. Not only the staff was astounded but also the CHC superintendent Dr SP Yadav looked dazed at his visit to the community health centre. The doctor with a mark of respect offered his chair to the minister to sit. But he himself dragged another vacant chair to sit.

He outrightly refused the seat by saying that he had no love for the chair. He wanted to serve the people. He made it clear that his main interest was serving the common people.

Inspecting the centre he assured that the ultrasound machine would be repaired by the month of October. He even instructed the officials concerned to make the defunct fire fighting device workable. He was looking much concerned for the patients coming for treatment. He wanted that they could avail the benefit provided by the state government.

Showing his simplicity he enjoyed a sip of tea sitting along with all the staff present at the centre.
