TEHRAN, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Iran's army unveiled state-of-the-art drone on Sunday, which is capable of tracking and hitting distant targets.

The drone, named Kian, has been designed and produced in two types and tested by the Iranian experts, Commander of the Iranian Army's Air Defense Force Alireza Sabahi-Fardand, was quoted as saying by state TV.

One type is capable of tracking and identifying targets at high speeds and the other is for long-haul flights to conduct precision-strike operations.

The long-haul vehicle is capable of hitting targets far from Iran's borders and engaging in defense operation on hostile territory, he said.
