India: Woman climbed on water tank to raise police inaction

Kanpur: Disturbed with threats of youth, one terrified woman climbed on the water tank and tried to jump down in Barra Gujaini area on Saturday afternoon.

This high-voltage drama continued for she complained about the police inaction in her matter. It was followed in order to draw police attention towards her problem, she said. She further told the police that the youth of her locality used to create a problem for her so she filed a case against him at the police station. But he Insisted upon her to take back the case. Her complaint in this regard was not heard so she had to follow this extreme step.

Taking a can of K-oil and dye, the woman Manju Pandey of Ambedkar Nagar said a brawl had taken place one year ago. So she filed a report against the youth. 

Adopting the extreme way of raising her voice against injustice with her, she drew the attention of the police. When the police reached on the spot, a large ladder was used to bring her down. But she objected and said of jumping down. Anyhow the police consoled her and took her to the police station.

The police assured of proper action after conducting a thorough enquiry into the matter.
