KANPUR: Despite the start of the weekly holiday in the department, the In-charge of Makanpur police post in Billhaur listened to the complainants in easy postures wearing not even the proper uniform on Monday. A video of his odd posture went viral on Twitter which led his suspension on recommendations of the senior officers.
According to a news report, the Chowki Incharge was unmindful of his dress and posture at the time the victims reached his room adjacent to the office.
He readily tried to go through the applicants' application and assured them of required action into the matter. But he remained oblivious of his video was taken up through mobile. This soon became viral and came into the knowledge of the police department. It was also reported that one complained of the matter on Twitter. This stirred the officers from the top.
Upon their swift suggestion, the SSP Anant Dev issued a notice of suspension to the police chowki in charge. Indiscipline cannot be acceptable in the department, this message has been made clear.
