KANPUR: Does it not look odd if the policemen exchange blows with the advocates? In Nawabganj police station more than one hundred advocates created ruckus over policemen's misbehaviour with them. They demand action against the policemen who allegedly beat one advocate.
However, the PS in charge Dilip Bind told that they have submitted an application with an allegation of battering to the advocate. The probe would be initiated after registering the report. The report will be forwarded to the higher officers for action.
Raising slogans at the police station the advocates were demanding action against the policemen. On Friday night one advocate Rinay Kanojia r/o Vishnupuri reached his friend Kamal who informed him on the phone that an individual was demanding one thousand rupees from him. As he was in plain clothes, the arguing man started abusing him. When he introduced himself then man replied that he was posted at the police station. Even the battering was also taken place as was reported. In this physical punching, his specs and chain were lost.
Upon receiving information the Daroga Satyendra Kumar brought them to the police station. But there ensued a similar scene. Anyhow he saved him from the policemen beating the advocate. The Bar Association office-bearers also reached the police station.
