India: LLR Junior doctors cross line of decency

Kanpur: There was no end to the junior doctors' bad behaviour at the Lala Lajpat Rai hospital of GSVM College here. What a patient thinks about the doctor if he faces negative vibes from the doctor.

One patient of Auraiya was getting treatment at the medicine ward of LLR hospital under the Ayushman Yojna. On July 21 he was given permission to go home. He along with his and relative reached the railway station. But his condition began to worsen at the platform so his wife and relative took him to the emergency again.

Disturbed with the junior doctor's rudeness his wife and relative approached the PRO who talked to the junior doctor. But he did not show respect towards him too.

It was alleged that the junior doctor slapped the patient Sunil Kumar and pushed his wife and relative out of the emergency ward.

On Monday morning his relative complained in writing to the EMO Dr Vinay Katiyar who in turn apprised of the whole situation to the chief superintendent Prof RK Maurya. It was later made the Principal Dr Aarti Lalchandaani aware of the whole matter.

Likewise, another instance of irresponsible of the JR with a female patient also surfaced. Not only the patient was made to run from this to that place but acted indecently.

Prof RK Maurya, chief superintendent, LLR hospital said that the junior doctors would observe discipline at all cost. He had sent a letter to the principal in this regard.
