BELGRADE, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Sunday that Chinese medical experts are "the most valuable resource in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus infection."

Brnabic made the remark while meeting with the six Chinese medical experts along with Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar and Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo.

Noting that the novel coronavirus is still under-explored, Brnabic said Serbia put its biggest hopes in the Chinese expertise.

BELGRADE, February 22. /TASS/: The first batch of the Russian Pantsyr-S1 surface-to-air missile/gun systems has arrived in Serbia, Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin said on Saturday.

BELGRADE, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- A new section of Serbia's international E-763 highway has been completed three months ahead of deadline by a Chinese company, and opened for traffic at a ceremony in the outskirts of Belgrade on Wednesday.

The ceremony was attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, and Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo.

BELGRADE, December 4. /TASS/: Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has told national television he plans to discuss Russian gas supplies to Serbian consumers, railway projects and boosting trade between Moscow and Belgrade at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.

BELGRADE, November 23. /TASS/: Russian President Vladimir Putin is a true friend of Serbia, the country’s President Aleksandar Vucic told reporters on Saturday when asked about his upcoming visit to Sochi.

"As far as President Putin and my visit are concerned, we are getting ready. We will have a big and high-ranking delegation, as it is an exclusively important meeting for us. I believe that President Putin is a sincere friend of Serbia. As president of Serbia, I must protect the interests of Serbia and will continue doing this," he said.

BELGRADE, November 21. /TASS/: Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has discussed his visit to Sochi on December 4 with Russian Ambassador Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko, the presidential press service said on Thursday.

"One of the topics at the meeting was preparations taken for a working visit of President Vucic to Russia on December 4 and his conversation with President Putin," the statement reads. Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin was also present at the meeting between the leader and the ambassador.

BELGRADE, November 1. /TASS/: The Serbian government is considering the purchase of Russian missile defense systems S-400 through obtaining a long-term loan, the Vecherne Novosti daily informed on Friday, citing its own sources.

"Serbia’s military and state leadership was impressed by the efficiency of the S-400 system [during the recent drills "Slavic Shield-2019" with the participation of the Russian military]. In the coming months, they might hold talks with Moscow on acquiring a long-term loan for the purchase this missile defense system," the newspaper wrote.

BELGRADE, October 30. /TASS/: The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Il-76 plane will join an effort to put out fire in eastern Serbia on Thursday, Head of the Serbian Sector for Emergency Situations Predrag Maric has said.

"Tomorrow, the Ilyushin plane will arrive from Russia to join the firefighting effort. It takes some 20 minutes to refill it, and it can carry out five or six raids in good weather conditions," Maric told TV Prva channel. The official noted that he was in touch with Russian colleagues on the issue.

BELGRADE, October 20. /TASS/: For today, a multipolar world is possible if countries respect each other’s national interests, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said in his address to the Serbian parliament on Saturday.

"For today, only a multipolar world can be fair. And it is possible on the basis of respect of national interests, on the basis of non-interference into internal affairs," he said.

BELGRADE, October 20. /TASS/: Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev believes that Russia and Serbia have achieved an unprecedentedly high level of mutual understanding, and it is important to keep the momentum.

Commenting on a similar statement by Serbian President Alexandar Vucic, Medvedev said: "I totally agree, the most important thing is to preserve it [mutual understanding]."

"It can be preserved only if we assess a whole range of international events from similar viewpoints," the Russian premier went on.
