China-Funded Prototype Satellites Delivered To Egypt

CAIRO, Jun 27 (NNN-MENA) – Two China-funded prototype satellites of the MisrSat II satellite project, were delivered to the Egyptian side on Sunday, making Egypt the first African country with the capacity to assemble, integrate and test satellites.

During the delivery ceremony, held at the Egyptian Space Agency, near the country’s New Administrative Capital, Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat thanked China for supporting and cooperating with the agency, and being a “strategic partner and friend” of Egypt.

Egypt: Sisi confers India PM Modi with 'Order of Nile' during state visit

Indian Prime Minister Modi arrives in Egypt on a two-day visit to strengthen ties

CAIRO (AP) — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off a two-day visit to Egypt on Saturday, a trip that underscores the growing ties between the two countries.

Modi’s flight landed at Cairo’s international airport Saturday afternoon, coming from a four-day trip to the United States where he held talks with President Joe Biden, delivered a speech to the U.S. Congress, and met with top American and Indian executives.

It’s the first state visit to Egypt by an Indian prime minister since 1997.

Sisi to Egyptians: 'I have nothing to promise you except work and patience'

Egypt: UN calls on Middle East and European nations to raise money for the humanitarian crisis in Sudan

CAIRO (AP) — The United Nations called on countries in the Middle East and Europe on Monday to ramp up aid efforts in Sudan to address the deepening humanitarian crisis.

Sudan has been rocked by fighting for more than two months as the military and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces battle for control of the country. Sudan’s Health Ministry said Saturday that more than 3,000 have been killed in the conflict, which has decimated the country’s fragile infrastructure and sparked ethnic violence in the western Darfur region.

Egypt's Sisi to visit Turkiye at Erdogan's invitation

18 June 2023; MEMO: Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi is to embark on an official visit to Turkiye following an invitation by his Turkish counterpart and recently re-elected President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

News of Sisi's visit was disclosed by Ambassador Salih Mutlu Sen, who currently serves as Ankara's charge d'affaires in Cairo, Daily Sabah reported on Friday.

Egyptian Ship Delivers Relief Aid To Conflict-Torn Sudan

CAIRO, Jun 18 (NNN-MENA) – A supply ship loaded with hundreds of tonnes of relief aid from Egypt, had arrived in conflict-torn Sudan, the Egyptian military announced, yesterday.

The military spokesman, Gharib Abdel-Hafez, said in a statement that, the Egyptian navy ship had arrived at Port Sudan and unloaded hundreds of tonnes of foodstuffs, medical supplies and other aid material.

The supplies, sponsored by the Egyptian ministries of defence and social solidarity, as well as, some local associations, would be sent to most needy areas in Sudan, the spokesman said.
