India: Three die due to inhaling poisonous gas in Kanpur's Bilhaur

Kanpur: Three people died in a painful accident in the Bilhaur police station area of ​​Kanpur.

Among them, 4 people including two brothers came down to save the buffalo that fell into the well.

Three out of 4 died due to inhalation of poisonous gas in the well. The police had pulled everyone out of the well with the help of the villagers.

According to the information,  Mevalal living in Gauri village of Bilhaur police station area found his buffalo falling into the well at around 7 pm on Sunday. 

Shailendra and Yogesh, sons of Mevalal's brother Ramkumar, by clasping a rope from their waist landed into the well.

When no voice was heard for a long time, Pradeep and Ram Bahadur, who lived in the neighbourhood, descended into the well to see them.

All four fell unconscious after coming into the grip of poisonous gas in the well. Another youth tying a rope went into the well and informed of their unconscious state. They were taken out with the help of police and admitted to Hallet hospital. Shailendra and Yogesh died but Ram Bahadur's condition was reported to be critical.

This caused a stir in the village when four people did not come out of the well.

Villagers said that the police and the fire brigade were late in reaching the spot. Had they come in time, all three people would have been saved. They created a ruckus on the spot.

The police pacified everyone and took the dead bodies into their possession and sent them for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, the relatives of dead persons have been reportedly assured of monetary help of Rs two lakh each by the Chief Minister.
