WASHINGTON, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Donald Trump was declared "in very good health" after receiving his second periodic physical exam Friday afternoon.
White House physician Sean Conley said in a memo that he and 11 specialists put the 72-year-old president through a battery of medical tests "over the course of approximately four hours."
"While the reports and recommendations are being finalized, I am happy to announce the president of the United States is in very good health and I anticipate he will remain so for the duration of his presidency, and beyond," Conley said.
Trump received the medical check-up at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Conley said the president "did not undergo any procedures requiring sedation or anesthesia."
Specific details on Trump's weight, cholesterol levels and blood pressure were not released in Conley's memo to White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.
The physical came a year after Trump was advised to lose a few pounds and exercise more.
Ronny Jackson, then White House physician who performed Trump's first full physical examination since he took office, made headlines last year when reporting the president was in "excellent" health with "great genes" and was "mentally very sharp."
Last year's tests also showed that Trump, 6-foot-3 (about 1.92 meters) and weighing at 239 pounds (107 kg) at that time, had a coronary calcium score consistent with heart disease and presented a high level of LDL, known as "bad cholesterol."
The president is known to have taken a statin drug designated to lower his cholesterol.
