Kanpur: Samajwadi Party staged Halla Bol agitation to protest loot in the name of house tax at Nagar Nigam premises here on Thursday. The party workers were present in large numbers. The party's two MLAs were also present during the agitation.
Both the MLAs reached on foot as police barricaded the area completely.
The protesters were blaming the Corporation for an increase in loot and harassment cases against the traders during the Corona time
Raising slogan of Na Khata Na Bahi Jo Gabbar Singh Kahen Wahi Sahee, the SP workers were appearing in a tit for tat mood. They were even ready to bear the coercion by the police.
In a fit of rage they tried to climb on the gate but both the party legislators forbade them.
