Kanpur: In a shocking incident, a woman was dragged and critically injured by miscreants who were trying to snatch her chain and rob her.
Investigating the matter, the West Zone's SWAT team and Panki bust a gang involved in chain snatching and other criminal activities in the city and beyond areas.
Taking action on the matter, a team of the SWAT team, surveillance and police station was formed.
The police have arrested six robbers with dozens of mobiles and taken them into custody. Out of these six, four were minors.
A minor who had been arrested said that they had a crunch of money due to which they had to become a regular chain snatcher.
Talking about the same, DCP West BBGTS Murthy said that there are 6 robbers from two different gangs, of which 4 are minors.
Dozens of mobiles and two motorcycles have been recovered from them by the police. While the adults have been arrested, the minors have been detained.
