Hardik Patel asks the regional parties to unite if they want any election after 2019. Patel was speaking to The Indian Express ahead of the 9th State Convention of the Sambhaji Brigade Maharashtra in Alibaugh.
Patel stressed that forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2019 will be a contest between Modi and the farmers.
According to The Indian Express, “Earlier last month, the Patidar leader went on an indefinite hunger strike demanding a loan waiver and reservation for the Patidar community in jobs and educational institutes. However, Patel ended his strike on the 19th day, saying, “It was necessary to stay alive to fight and win.”
“He also said that instead of building a Shivaji memorial in Maharashtra, the government should rather focus on generating employment opportunities for the people.”, reported The Indian Express.
