India: Make city polythene free, exhorts CM

Kanpur: Addressing the public at Central Park in Shastri Nagar here on Monday afternoon, the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said there was no place of the intruders in the country. They will be sent back. In this regard, a process has been initiated. On the matter of metro in the city, he mentioned that it would soon run. He even made an appeal to the denizens to avoid the use of polythene. They must make efforts to make the city free of polythene.

He inaugurated several development schemes and attended a meeting with the party office bearers. Prominent leaders were present on this important occasion.

Prior to his arrival in the city opposition party leaders like Amitabh Bajpayee and Irfan Solanki, Uzma Solanki, Fateh Bahadur Gill and Zarina Khatoon were put under the house arrest. They were trying to submit a memorandum. But the police kept them under the confines of their homes along with their supporters in order to maintain law and order.

However, the Congress party candidate for Govindnagar assembly bypoll anyhow got success in reaching the venue. She was tying the black ribbon on her forehead. She raised demand for disposal of problems related to labour colonies.
