BEIJING, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted Northern Chile at 14:02:09 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 100.7 km, was initially determined to be at 20.52 degrees south latitude and 69.24 degrees west longitude.
