Israeli forces hold manoeuvres in Jordan Valley

14 June 2021; MEMO: Israeli occupation forces have launched a military exercise around Tayaseer, a village near the West Bank city of Tubas in the northern Jordan Valley, Wafa news agency has reported.

According to the head of Tayaseer Village Council, Wajeeh Dabk, large numbers of Israeli tanks and other military vehicles have been deployed around the village for the manoeuvres. Villagers were not warned about this in advance, he insisted.

New Israel government vows change, but not for Palestinians

Egypt allows entry of new, used cars to Gaza, angers PA

14 June 2021; MEMO: The High Administrative Committee in Gaza told traders that they can import new and used cars through Egypt, making the Palestinian Authority (PA) angry, Sama News agency reported yesterday.

This measure, which was approved by Egypt, increased the income of the Administrative Committee of the government in the Gaza Strip.

Gaza fishermen protest against continuous Israel siege

14 June 2021; MEMO: Scores of Palestinian fishermen yesterday staged a protest against the continuous Israeli siege on Gaza, as well as the occupation's aggression on the fishing industry, Anadolu reported.

Fishermen Syndicate in Gaza organised the protest, which took place in the port west of Gaza City.

The fishermen held posters reading: "It is my right to move freely… Yes to the full lifting of the siege." They also raised the Palestine flag.

Israel demolishes Bedouin homes in the West Bank

13 June 2021; MEMO: Israeli forces on Sunday dismantled tents for Palestinian families in a nomadic Bedouin community near the village of Taibe, to the northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, reports Anadolu Agency.

The Israeli soldiers raiding the village in the morning and destroyed 6 houses and animal shelters.

The locals said the demolished tents demolished a shelter for two families with a total of 15 members.

Two PA Security Officers Shot Dead In West Bank Clash With Israeli Troops

WEST BANK, Jun 10 (NNN-PNN) – Two officers in the Palestinian Authority’s Military Intelligence unit were reportedly shot dead last night, in an exchange of fire with Israeli forces operating in the northern West Bank.

A third Palestinian was critically wounded in the incident, which began when officers in the Yamam Border Police counterterrorism unit, sought to arrest several Palestinian suspects outside the headquarters of the PA Military Intelligence Unit in Jenin.

Israel: Right-wing march through Old City rescheduled for next week

9 June 2021; MEMO: Israeli officials announced today that they will allow a far-right march through Jerusalem's Old City to go ahead next week, despite cancelling the event yesterday due to fears of renewed tension between the occupation state and Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza. Hamas had warned against allowing the so-march through the Old City's Muslim quarter.

Palestine's debt jumps 26% in April to $3.7bn

9 June 2021; MEMO: The public debt amassed by the Palestinian Authority (PA) has jumped by 26 per cent to $3.7 billion due to a combination of factors including the economic slowdown and Israel's brutal military occupation.

The extent of the debt crises was revealed today after the Ministry of Finance issued the PA's budget. It showed that internal and external public debt reached $3.7 billion by the end of April. The public debt in the corresponding period of 2020, was $2.9 billion.
