Pakistan: Arrest of Lahore blast culprits, biggest achievement of security agencies after busting of Kulbhushan Jadhav network: Fawad

ISLAMABAD, Jul 6 (APP): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Tuesday said police and security agencies had the biggest achievement with arrest of culprits of Johar Town blast, since busting of terror network, run by Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav.

He said the Federal Cabinet lauded the prompt action by the police and other law enforcement agencies to bust big Indian terror network by arresting the culprits, involved in Johar Town, Lahore blast incident.

Indian Intelligence Agency RAW blamed for Pakistan’s Johar Town blast

Islamabad; 04 July 2021 (UMMN): Pakistan has blamed Indian RAW, the foreign intelligence agency of India, for last month’s blast in Lahore's Johar Town that killed three people including a six year old, and injured 24 others including a police constable. The explosion left a four-foot-deep and eight-foot-wide crater on the road and damaged several houses and shops nearby.

National Security Adviser Dr Moeed Yusuf called it "Indian-sponsored terrorism".

FM says Pakistan shared solid evidences of Indian terrorist activities, expects FATF to take action

ISLAMABAD, July 4 (APP): Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi Sunday said that they had already shared solid evidences of Indian state sponsor terrorism inside Pakistan with the international community, which was, once again, vindicated after its involvement in Johar Town, Lahore, terrorist blast.

In a press statement, the foreign minister expressed the confidence that Financial Action Task Force (FATF) would take action against India after evaluating these vital evidences.

Indian Ocean region witnessing geopolitical changes; adds to responsibilities of Pakistan Navy: Naval Chief

LAHORE, Jul 03 (APP): Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi on Saturday visited Pakistan Navy War College Lahore and addressed the course participants of 50th PN Staff Course.

Pakistani policeman accused of killing man acquitted of blasphemy

LAHORE, Pakistan, July 3 (Reuters) - A Pakistani police constable has been arrested over the murder of a man who was acquitted of blasphemy charges last year, a police spokesman said.

Ahmed Nawaz told Reuters that Muhammad Waqas was hacked to death on Friday in the central Pakistani district of Sadiqabad.

He said the suspect, a 21-year-old man who joined the force just months ago, told investigators he killed Waqas because "he had committed blasphemy".

PM hopes, Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations to be further strengthened

ISLAMABAD, July 2 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said that Pakistan highly valued its close brotherly ties with Azerbaijan, and hoped that bilateral relations would be further strengthened, including through regular high-level exchanges.

The Prime Minister expressed these views as he received Ambassador of Azerbaijan, Ali Alizada for his farewell call.

The Azeri Ambassador conveyed warm greetings from Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, to the Prime Minister.

Pakistan not to accept any pressure to change its ties with China: Imran Khan

(APP) --- Prime Minister Imran Khan said Pakistan would not accept any pressure to either change or downgrade its relations with China, as it had always stood by it in every difficult time.

In an interview with the Chinese media the Prime Minister categorically said that if pressure was put on Pakistan to change its relations or downgrade its ties with China, it would not happen.

“Relationship between Pakistan and China is very deep, it’s not just the governments, but it’s people to people relationship,” he added.

Covid-19: Pakistan fears another coronavirus wave may hit next month

ISLAMABAD, June 29 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Pakistan on Monday reported its lowest daily coronavirus-related death toll during the third wave of the pandemic but health officials warned another wave might hit the country next month.

At least 20 people died during the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The toll is the lowest since November last. Pakistan has so far recorded 955,657 cases and 22,231 deaths.
