11 Apr 2023; MEMO: The leader of Israeli opposition, Yair Lapid, has said that Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has "lost control" in front of the nation, considering that he leads the most "failed and extremist" government in the country's history, Anadolu News Agency reports.

JERUSALEM, Apr 11 (NNN-MA’AN) – Thousands of Israeli settlers and dozens of politicians, including seven cabinet ministers, yesterday marched to an abandoned illegal Israeli outpost, in the occupied West Bank.

The march to Eviatar, an unpermitted outpost in the northern West Bank, that was evacuated by a previous government in 2021, was taking place under heavy police and army guard.

10 Apr 2023; MEMO: After rockets launched from Lebanon and Syrian towards north of Israel, 90 per cent of tourists who planned to visit the area cancelled their reservations, Israeli media reported on Sunday.

Israeli Hebrew daily Maariv reported that business owners expected many tourists to spend their holidays in the north of the country, but the rockets pushed them to change their plans.

11 Apr 2023; MEMO: Israeli President Isaac Herzog yesterday hosted talks between the coalition government and the opposition over the planned judicial overhaul, Anadolu reported.

"The discussion dealt with building the framework for the continuation of the negotiations after Passover, when the parties will meet to discuss the essential issues […] with the aim of trying to reach agreements," Herzog's office said in a statement.

JERUSALEM, Apr 10 (NNN-MA’AN) – Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said, it launched airstrikes on Syria early yesterday, after a second rocket barrage was fired from Syria towards the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights.

The rare rocket attacks from Israel’s north-eastern neighbour triggered sirens in the communities of Natur and Avnei Eitan in the Golan Heights. No injuries or damage were reported yet.

JERUSALEM, April 9 (Reuters) - Israel's government on Sunday rejected claims raised in documents allegedly leaked from the Pentagon that leaders of its foreign intelligence service Mossad had supported nationwide protests against a proposed overhaul of Israel's judiciary.

The New York Times on Saturday published an assessment it attributed to a Central Intelligence Update from March 1 that Mossad leadership had encouraged its staff and Israeli citizens to join the mass protests. The paper said that while the leaked documents seemed authentic, it did not mean they were accurate.

09 Apr 2023; MEMO: Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid on Sunday blamed the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the current tension at Al-Aqsa Mosque complex in occupied East Jerusalem, Anadolu reports.

Speaking to the Israeli Public Radio, Lapid accused far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir of seeking to set the Middle East on fire.

He blamed Israeli police violence against worshippers inside Al-Aqsa complex to the "irresponsible behavior" of the Israeli government.
