Modi to be put on trial in court of law soon: Fakhar Imam

ISLAMABAD, Sep 18 (APP): Chairman Kashmir Committee Syed Fakhar Imam Wednesday said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be put on trial in the court of law soon for committing crimes against humanity in Kashmir.

Addressing a conference on Kashmir arranged by Senate of Pakistan, he said India had crossed all limits of tyranny and carried out human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.

He said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was trying to put at stake the regional peace with its unconstitutional steps and narrow minded approach.

Indian SC verdict exposed lies of fascist Modi government : Firdous

ISLAMABAD, Sep 17 (APP): Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Tuesday that the verdict of Indian Supreme Court on the situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir has exposed lies of fascist Modi government.

In a tweet, she said that the Indian SC verdict was victory of Pakistan. She said that Indian repression and atrocities were retreating against the stead fastness and Kashmiris.

Petition raises Kashmir concerns

ISLAMABAD, Sep 17 (APP): British Labour MP John Spellar has called on the Prime Minister Boris Johnson to obtain justice for the oppressed people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Occupied Kashmir had its autonomy wiped out last month after restrictions were imposed on it by the Indian government.

40,000 Kashmiris arrested since August 5, says WPI leader

ISLAMABAD, Sep 16 (APP): Indian forces have arrested around 40,000 Kashmiris since August 5, the day when India abrogated Article 370 to scrap Jammu and Kashmir of its special status in the Indian constitution.

According to Kashmir Media Service, this was disclosed by Sheema Mohsin, a senior leader of the Welfare Party of India during a media interview in New Delhi. Sheema along with a three-member delegation of Welfare Party of India visited occupied Kashmir from September 12 and 13.

Pakistan committed to send its first astronaut by 2022: Fawad

ISLAMABAD, Sep 15 (APP): Federal Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Sunday said Pakistan was committed to send its first astronaut to space by 2022.

China would collaborate with Pakistan in its space mission, he said, adding the selection process for the astronaut would start in 2020. Initially, 50 persons would be selected and then the list would come down to 25 in 2022, out of them only one would be sent to the space, he told a private news channel.

The Pakistani Air Force, he said, would play an important role in the astronaut’s selection.

Pakistan summons Afghan, Indian diplomats after soldiers, civilian killed

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistan has summoned diplomats from Afghanistan and India after several shooting incidents along two different borders killed four Pakistani soldiers and a civilian woman.

Accusations of firing by both sides across the Afghan-Pakistani border, and by both Indian and Pakistani forces across an old ceasefire line dividing their areas in the Muslim-majority region of Kashmir are common.

The latest incidents come at an especially tense time between Pakistan and India, and as talks between the United States and the Afghan Taliban have broken down.

British MP Tony Llyod demands respect for basic human rights of Kashmiri people

ISLAMABAD, Sep 14 (APP): Tony Llyod, a Labour party’s member of UK Parliament, has said that they want to see a change in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K), a change that respects people’s basic human rights.

“These are the things we would expect in any part of the world. It’s what we expect for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and it’s what we expect of the Indian government,” the British parliamentarian said in his twitter message.

In written reply to a question in National Assembly on Friday, Minister for Foreign Affairs Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Hussain Qureshi said that Pakistan was deeply concerned at the tensions in the Gulf Region that has potential to destabilize the entire region.
