Islamabad, Feb 7 (PTI) Pakistan's Parliament on Friday passed a resolution demanding public hanging of those convicted of sexually abusing and murdering children amid increasing incidents of crime against them.

The resolution, which referred to the brutal killing and sexual assault of an eight-year-old girl in Nowshera area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province in 2018, was passed with majority votes as it was supported by all lawmakers except those belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) of former premier Benazir Bhutto.

ISLAMABAD, Feb 7 (APP): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Friday said the artists through their paintings and photographs have portrayed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rashtriya Sawasevak Sangh (RSS) extremist Hindu mindset and exposed Indian atrocities in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K).

MIRPUR, Feb 6 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday, expressing Pakistan’s firm resolve to never leave Kashmiris alone, warned Indian prime minister Narendra Modi that any further misadventure, would be the last one.

Addressing a large public rally held in solidarity with people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir who faced continuous detention for last 185 days, the prime minister said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his arrogance, made a blunder by taking illegal step on August 5 and unilaterally revoking the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

04 Feb 2020; MEMO: Turkey and Pakistan are considering a plan to make it easier to provide dual nationality for both countries’ citizens, in what would be a significant increase in relations.

The plan, which was revealed yesterday, came to light during a meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Ijaz Ahmad Shah and Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul.

ISLAMABAD, Feb 3 (APP): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, Dr Zafar Mirza Monday said Pakistan is not having even a single patient of corona virus and completed all the arrangements to diagnose the disease through screening at the airports across the country.

“The seven suspected persons from different cities were tested in Pakistan for Corona Virus but their samples found to be negative which is a good omen”, the special assistant disclosed while addressing a press conference here along with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Yao Jing.

ISLAMABAD, Feb 3 (APP): Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser on Monday said the government would discuss Kashmir issue in the assembly session for two days and a unanimous resolution would also be expected to pass in favor of the deprived masses of Indian Held valley.

Addressing an event organized here by the Private Schools Association Islamabad in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day Celebrations, the Speaker said the nation is united on the Kashmir issue and stands with them til aspiration of their genuine demand.

Islamabad, Feb 3 (PTI) Pakistan on Monday resumed flights from coronavirus-hit China after two planes from the country landed at the airport in Islamabad.

Pakistan had suspended flights from China till February 2 after the World Health Organisation declared the outbreak of the novel virus as a global health emergency.

ISLAMABAD, Feb 1 (APP): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has emphasized the need for early conclusion of US-Taliban negotiations and peace deal in the larger interest of the peace process and for preventing spoilers from playing a negative role.

The foreign minister was talking to US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad who called on him, the spokesperson for the Foreign Office in a press release on Saturday said.

Zalmay Khalilzad had arrived Islamabad on Friday on a day-long visit.

ISLAMABAD, Jan 31 (APP): Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and U.S. Special Representative on Afghan Reconciliation Process Zalmay Khalilzad met here on Friday and agreed to continue consultations on the Afghan peace process.

The meeting, that took place here at the Foreign Office, discussed joint efforts for restoring peace in Afghanistan and current situation in the region.

Islamabad, Jan 30 (PTI) Pakistan on Thursday claimed that India is making "desperate attempts" to divert attention from the domestic and international criticism of the government's policies.

Foreign Office spokesperson Aisha Farooqui also said that nobody should underestimate Pakistan's resolve to effectively thwart any aspiration of aggression against the country.
