17 Kashmiri seperatists killed in a week by Indian Security forces

Indian Security forces have killed a total of 17 Kashmiris in one week. It is alleged that those killed belonged to separatist groups.

5 of those Kashmiris were killed in Chaugam area of Kazigund in Srinagar, and their bodies have not been recovered yet. These five were identified as Gulzar Ahmad Paddar, Faisal, Zahid Ahmad Mir, Masroor Bhatt, and Zahroor.

2 Kashmiri separatist killed in encounter, 8 Indian security personnel injured

Jammu: Two Kashmiri separatist were killed by Indian security forces in Reasi district of J&K. Five CRPF jawans and three policemen were injured.

It is alleged that the two Kashmiris belonged to JeM, which calls for Kashmir’s independence from India.

Security forces, comprising CRPF, police and Army personnel, were on a search operation near a house in the district's Kakriyal area.

Security forces launched a search operation in Galoora area of Handwara early this morning following information about the presence of Kashmiri separatist fighters there, police spokesman said.

NSA Doval's comment on J&K constitution attempt to "distort" history: Tarigami

Srinagar, Sep 6; PTI: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval's assertion that a separate constitution for Jammu and Kashmir was probably an "aberration" was an attempt to "distort" facts and history, CPI(M) MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami claimed Thursday.

"J&K acceded to India under the guarantees provided by the Constitution of India. It is the constituent assembly which incorporated Article 370 in the Constitution providing a constitutional basis for the relationship of J&K with the Union," Tarigami sain in a statement here.

India: Two Kashmiris killed in Bandipora encounter

Srinagar, Aug 30; PTI: Two militants were today killed in an encounter with security forces in Hajin area of Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir, the police said.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Hajin area following information about presence of militants there, a police official said.

He said the search operation turned into an encounter after militants opened fire towards security force positions.

Two militants have been killed in the operation, the official said adding the searches were still going on.

Indian security forces kill two Kashmiris – a possible fake encounter

Two Kasmiris have been killed by Indian security forces in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, in an alleged encounter.

"It was a specific operation and in a swift action both the terrorists involved in several cases of civilian atrocities and attacks on policemen were eliminated," Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Range, S P Pani said.

2 Pakistani soldiers killed by Indian Army in J-K's Kupwara

Srinagar, Aug 14 (PTI) Two Pakistani troopers were killed by the Indian Army in response to ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman said here today.

Indian troops carried out operations last night after the ceasefire violations.

Two held on charges of rape in Kathua dist

Jammu, Aug 13 (PTI) Two persons have been arrested for allegedly raping a girl in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

On August 9, three men from Salalpur Marheen village raped a girl in Chabe Chak area of Rajbagh. The survivor's family registered a police complaint.

The police arrested two of the accused yesterday and a search is going on for the third suspect, said an official from Rajbagh police station.

Six Kashmiris killed in J&K by Indian security forces

Srinagar, 4 Aug 2018; Five separatists have been killed by Indian security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The killed separatists are all all locals and have been identified as Umer Nazir Malik, Waqar Ahmad Sheikh, Aijaz Ahmad Paul, Arshad Ahmad Khan and Arif Ahmad Mir.

According to PTI, “Hundreds of protestors assembled near the encounter site in Kiloora and started pelting stones at the security forces, the police official said.”

JKDYF holds protest demonstration in favour of Article 35A

Srinagar, August 4: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Youth Federation (JKDYF) held a protest demonstration in Srinagar led by its President Wahid Sultan and General Secretary Abdul Rashid Itoo. Hundreds of JKDYF activists carrying banners and placards, shouted slogans in favour of Article 35A at Press Colony Srinagar.
