Russia reports pressure drop in space station service module

MOSCOW, July 31 (Reuters) - The head of Russia's Roscosmos space agency said on Saturday that pressure in a Russian service module on the International Space Station had dropped as a result of an air leak.

Pressure had fallen over a two-week period before a Russian research module, the Nauka, threw the station out of control when its engines fired shortly after docking on Thursday, but Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin said the two events were not linked.

Russia closely monitors wildfire situation in Turkey, senior diplomat says

MOSCOW, July 30. /TASS/: Russia is closely monitoring the wildfire situation in Turkey and is in constant touch with the country’s authorities, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told journalists on Friday.

"We are closely monitoring the situation. The Russian Federation, as you know, provided assistance to the Turkish authorities in order to help them cope with this disaster. Our equipment is deployed there, including Be-200 planes. We are in constant touch with the Turkish government," he said.

Global experts suggest Kiev officially recognize Donbass as conflicting side

Russia’s Nauka research module successfully docks with orbital outpost

KOROLYOV /Moscow Region/, July 29. /TASS/: Russia’s Nauka (Science) multi-purpose laboratory module docked to the nadir port of the Zvezda service module of the International Space Station (ISS), a TASS correspondent reports from Mission Control near Moscow where the docking is being broadcast live.

The latest Russian research module docked in the automatic mode. The docking process was controlled by Mission Control specialists and Russian cosmonauts aboard the space station.
