Iran Welcomes Reopening Of Embassies In Tehran, Riyadh

TEHRAN, Jun 27 (NNN-IRNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, said last night that, Iran welcomes the reopening of the Iranian and Saudi Arabian embassies in Riyadh and Tehran.

Iran only seeks to promote the region’s interests, Amir-Abdollahian said here, in a meeting with visiting Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s website.

Iran's president says foreign powers' presence in Mideast causing problems

TEHRAN, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi reiterated on Sunday that the foreign presence in the region not only fails to help resolve any issue but also causes problems.

Raisi made the remarks at a joint press conference with visiting Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi in Tehran, Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.

Referring to Yemen's crisis, Raisi said Iran believes continuing the war in the Arab state is futile and will only lead to the suffering and pain of its people.

Iran launches rocket into space as nuclear talks to resume

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iranian state television said Sunday that Tehran had launched a solid-fueled rocket into space, drawing a rebuke from Washington ahead of the expected resumption of stalled talks over Tehran’s tattered nuclear deal with world powers.

It’s unclear when or where the rocket was launched, but the announcement came after satellite photos showed preparations at Imam Khomeini Spaceport in Iran’s rural Semnan province, the site of Iran’s frequent failed attempts to put a satellite into orbit.

Iraqi caretaker PM in Iran to rekindle talks with Saudis

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iraq’s caretaker prime minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi arrived in Iran on Sunday, state TV reported, on a visit aimed at reactivating Baghdad-mediated talks between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi officially received Al-Kadhimi, who was slated to also meet with other officials in Tehran, according to the report. He was the first foreign leader to visit Iran after Raisi took power in August.

Iran ready to resume talks on Nuclear Deal in several days — Foreign Minister

TEHRAN, June 25. /TASS/: Tehran is ready to resume the negotiations on restoration of the Nuclear Deal in several days, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said at a press conference after the talks with EU High Commissioner Josep Borrell in Tehran.

"I confirm that we are ready to resume the negotiations in several days," he said, according to the Young Journalist Club.

5.6-Magnitude Quake Hit Southern Iran

TEHRAN, Jun 25 (NNN-IRNA) – A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck the areas near the port of Charak, in Iran’s southern Hormozgan province today, state TV reported.

The epicentre of the earthquake, which took place at 08:07 a.m. local time (0337 GMT), was at a depth of 22 km and located 23 km from Charak port, and 25 km from Kish Island, said the report.

There has been no immediate report of casualties or damage so far.

Iran rejects Israeli charges of attacks in Turkey

24 June 2022; MEMO: Iran, on Friday, dismissed as "ridiculous" allegations by Israel's Foreign Minister while on a visit to Ankara that the Islamic Republic was planning anti-Israeli attacks in Turkiye, AFP reports.

According to the report, Iran published a statement rejecting the latest allegations.

"The baseless allegations … are ridiculous and part of a pre-designed plot to destroy relations between the two Muslim countries," Foreign Ministry spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh, said in a statement.

Iran demands US pay compensation for slain nuclear scientists

Iran, Russia vow boost to comprehensive ties

TEHRAN, June 23 (Xinhua) -- Iran and Russia called for a boost to their comprehensive ties to benefit both countries, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said in a Thursday statement on his meeting with the visiting Russian foreign minister.

Raisi told Sergei Lavrov that continuous meetings and talks between the officials of Iran and Russia are a sign of serious will on both sides to shape a new era of bilateral "strategic cooperation," particularly in the economic field, said the statement issued by the presidential website.
