ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP): As an acknowledgment of the proactive leadership and the global efforts of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on the climate change action plan, the United Nations Climate Change Conference – COP27, has announced to hand him over the vice-chairmanship of the conference which would be jointly chaired by the prime minister along with the Egyptian president and the Norwegian prime minister.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 8 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said that Pakistan welcomed the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of a resolution, supporting its reconstruction efforts in the flood-affected areas.

On his Twitter handle, the prime minister stressed that the world should respond vigorously to the UN revised aid appeal and provide access to climate finance and debt relief to Pakistan.

These actions were critical at this stage, he added.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 7 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said that the latest audio leak had exposed the hypocrisy of former prime minister Imran Khan.

“Someone who does not tire of lecturing nation on morality is himself blantantly involved in immoral horse trading. His fraudulent nature is being exposed every day. Niazi’s anti-state actions make him unfit for high office,” the Prime Minister said in a twitter post.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 7 (NNN-APP) – Pakistani Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, said yesterday that, the Pakistani government had spent almost 100 billion rupees (450 million U.S. dollars), for the relief and assistance of the flood-affected people, as relief and rehabilitation activities continue in affected areas.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 4 (APP): The United Nations has upscaled its humanitarian appeal for the flood affected people of Pakistan to $816 million from previous $160 million assistance, considering a multitude of rehabilitation and health -related issues, cropping up in the post flood situation.

The revised appeal was made for Pakistan on the basis of updated on ground need assessment of the flood situation in the country. The revised ‘2022 Pakistan Floods Response Plan’ (FRP) was shared with UN member states and humanitarian organizations in Geneva.

Islamabad, Oct 4 (PTI) China has shown interest in importing donkeys and dogs from Pakistan, officials have told a parliamentary committee as the cash-strapped country is trying to overcome a major economic crisis.

During a briefing on imports and exports on Monday between the officials of the Ministry of Commerce and Senate Standing Committee, one of its members, Dinesh Kumar said that China has expressed interest in importing donkeys as well as dogs from Pakistan, Geo News reported.

ISLAMABAD (AP) — Last week’s suicide bombing at a Kabul education center killed as many as 52 people, more than twice the death toll acknowledged by Taliban officials, according to a tally compiled by The Associated Press on Monday.

Dozens more were wounded in Friday’s blast, making it one of the bloodiest attacks since the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan more than a year ago. On his Twitter handle, the prime minister said that China offered a promise of hope to the developing world, beset by multiple crises relating to climate, finance, food and energy.
