Russia: Putin visits headquarters of the Southern Military District in Rostov-on-Don — Kremlin

MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/: After his visit to Kazakhstan, Russian President Vladimir Putin stopped in Rostov-on-Don, where he visited the headquarters of the Southern Military District, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reported.

"Having completed his official visit to Astana, Vladimir Putin, flew to Rostov, where he visited the headquarters of the Southern Military District," he said.

Putin was accompanied at the headquarters by Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Defense Ministry Valery Gerasimov and other military leaders.

Strict AI regulation would be possible only after thorough risk analysis — Bank of Russia

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/: Strict legislative regulation of artificial intelligence technologies would be possible only after a thorough risk assessment and consultations with market participants, according to Governor of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina.

"Strong legislative regulation is probably possible in some areas, but we believe it should be introduced only after a thorough risk analysis and market consultation. I think we will discuss everything with the government," she stated.

Russian forces wipe out Ukrainian command post in Zaporozhye area over past day

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/: Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian army’s integrated command post in the Zaporozhye area over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday.

"An integrated command post of the Ukrainian army’s 10th army corps was destroyed near the settlement of Volnoandreyevka in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said in a statement.

NATO seeks to go beyond its geographical boundaries, violating own doctrines — Putin

NOVO-OGARYOVO, November 8. /TASS/: NATO aspires to expand its geographical boundaries, including into Asia, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"We are watching certain countries’ attempts to expand their zone of influence. What is more, the North Atlantic Alliance, strangely enough, is attempting to go beyond the geographical boundaries of its operation, in breach of its own doctrinal documents," the Russian president said at a meeting with Zhang Youxia, Vice Chairman of China’s Central Military Commission (CMC).

Russia puts another ICC judge on wanted list

MOSCOW, Nov 8 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Russia said that it had put on its wanted list another judge of the International Criminal Court, which is seeking the arrest of President Vladimir Putin over the Ukraine conflict.

“Wanted in the framework of a criminal investigation,” said a notice in the interior ministry’s database, referring to Sergio Gerarde Ugaldo Godinez, a Costa Rica judge on the Hague-based ICC.

The notice did not provide details on the allegations against Godinez.

Russia's Lavrov assails West over switch to green energy

MOSCOW, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused the West on Wednesday of provoking crises on the global oil and gas market by rushing to switch to green energy and imposing pressure on other countries to do the same.

"In fact, the reasons for the negative phenomena in the energy sector were the irresponsible actions of the collective West, when it decided to force ... the green transition for itself and impose the same green transition on other countries that were simply not economically ready for it," Lavrov said in televised comments.

Russia: Brent oil price falls below $83 per barrel on ICE, for the first time since August 25

MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/: The price of Brent crude futures with delivery in January on the London ICE exchange fell below $83 per barrel for the first time since August 25, according to exchange data.

As of 05:32 p.m. Moscow time, the Brent price dropped by 2.24% to $82.97 per barrel.

By 05:50 p.m. Moscow time, Brent futures contract was trading at $82.95 per barrel (-2.26%). The price of a futures contract for WTI oil with delivery in January fell by 1.81% to $78.63 per barrel.
