MINSK, December 11. /TASS/: The Ukrainian conflict will end with talks with the West, Russian Ambassador at Large for Kiev regime crimes Rodion Miroshnik said on the air with CTV television.

"Negotiations will definitely take places; all the clashes necessarily end with talks. Clearly, negotiations will not be with puppets," the diplomat noted. "The West does not demonstrate the desire to come to terms so far. They do not say so far that they are ready to come to the negotiating table," Miroshnik said.

MINSK, October 27. /TASS/: Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has warned Israel and its allies against waging a war on Iran as it could potentially trigger a third world war.

"A third world war is not excluded. It may start from there [the Middle East]. How? If they [Israel and the United States] stage a war on Iran. It is not about Iran irritating them, but about them irritating Iran," the BelTA news agency quoted him as saying.

MINSK, October 3. /TASS/: President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said he had tasked the government to prepare papers on the project of a railway branch line to St. Petersburg before his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in October.

"I requested Deputy Prime Minister [Anatoly] Sivak and Prime Minister [Roman Golovchenko] to have prepared, so to say, presentation materials on all the bottlenecks in the direction of St. Petersburg - the railway, by my meeting with the President of Russia in the near time," Lukashenko said, cited by the BelTA news agency.

MINSK, September 14. /TASS/: Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Russia on a working visit, the BelTA news agency reported.

It earlier reported that the Belarusian leader departed for Russia to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 15. The report didn’t say where the meeting would take place.

MINSK, August 25. /TASS/:  There is no reason for the West to be concerned about the drills the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is holding in Belarus from September 1 through 16 because these are scheduled exercises, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Friday.

MINSK, August 24. /TASS/: Belarus is set to play host to the Combat Brotherhood-2023 joint strategic military exercise on September 1-6, as participating military contingents from Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states will start redeploying to Belarusian soil on August 25, the Belarusian Defense Ministry’s press service said.

"Joint and special drills are planned in the general concept of the Combat Brotherhood-2023 exercise, bringing together the training of various combat parts of the CSTO (Collective Forces)," the Defense Ministry statement said.
