UN reports increasing violations of Iran nuclear deal

VIENNA (AP) — Uranium particles of man-made origin have been discovered at a site in Iran not declared to the United Nations, the U.N. atomic watchdog agency said Monday as it confirmed a litany of violations by Tehran of the 2015 nuclear deal.

The International Atomic Energy Agency said Iran has begun enriching uranium at a heavily fortified installation inside a mountain, is increasing its stockpile of processed uranium, and is exceeding the allowable enrichment levels.

Balkans leaders discuss common market after EU snub

OHRID (Republic of North Macedonia), Nov 11 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Albania, North Macedonia and Serbia discussed setting up a common market at a summit Sunday.

The leaders of the three countries met at Lake Ohrid, in North Macedonia, after the EU last month refused to start membership talks with Albania and North Macedonia.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, his North Macedonian counterpart Zoran Zaev and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who launched the common market initiative in October, attended Sunday’s meeting.

Chinese president arrives in Greece for state visit

ATHENS, Nov 11 (NNN-Xinhua) — Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Greece Sunday for a three-day state visit to consolidate traditional friendship and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

It is the first visit by a Chinese head of state to the European nation in 11 years.

Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan, were greeted by senior Greek officials at the airport.

Upon arrival, Xi said Greece boasts long history and glorious culture and has made outstanding contributions to the progress of human civilizations.

Over 700 latest AK-12 assault rifles arrive for commandos in Russia’s south

Russian anti-aircraft gunners return home after Arrow of Friendship drills with Egypt

ROSTOV-ON-DON, November 11. /TASS/: Russian anti-aircraft gunners have returned to their permanent bases after the Arrow of Friendship-2019 joint drills with Egyptian forces, the press office of the Southern Military District reported on Monday.

"More than 100 anti-aircraft gunners of the Russian Federation have arrived at their permanent stations after taking part in the Arrow of Friendship-2019 joint Russian-Egyptian air defense drills near Cairo," the press office said in a statement.

‘Tantamount to robbery’: Lavrov slams US attempt to take control of Syria’s oil facilities

YEREVAN, November 11. /TASS/: The United States’ attempt to establish control of Syria’s oil facilities is illegal, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told the media on Monday. Moreover, he likened this attempt to robbery.

In reply to a question at a joint news conference with his Armenian counterpart Zograb Mnatsakanyan Lavrov said that he sometimes had no time to keep track of the zigzags of US policy.

Coal exports from Russia remain at $12.3 bln

MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/: In January - September 2019, Russia's exports of coal remained at the level of the same period in 2018 and amounted to $12,335 bln, the Federal Customs Service said on Monday.

In physical terms, coal exports over the nine months of this year increased by 4.9% compared to last year to 153,488 mln tonnes.

Imports of coal during the reporting period decreased by 1.9% to $286 mln. In real terms, coal imports decreased by 2.4% to 16,032 mln tonnes.

 

Russia’s wheat and meslin exports down 30% in January - September

MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/: Exports of wheat and meslin from Russia in January - September 2019 decreased by 30% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 22.66 mln tonnes, according to the Federal Customs Service.

In monetary terms, the figure decreased by 23.5% and amounted to $4.61 bln.

According to the Customs Service, exports of vegetable oil in January - September 2019 increased by 30.8% in monetary terms and reached $1.568 bln. In physical terms, it amounted to 2.226 mln tonnes, which is 42.5% more than for the same period in 2018.

Some banks slow in implementing Brexit plans: ECB's Enria

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - European Union banks have put in place all the plans for Brexit but execution is lagging as lenders await the outcome of negotiations between Britain and the EU, European Central Bank banking supervisor Andrea Enria said on Monday.

Some banks planning to relocate to the EU are postponing moving staff and capital to the bloc, waiting to see whether Britain is headed for a hard Brexit or a negotiated exit, Enria told a conference organized by German newspaper Handelsblatt.
