ANKARA, Nov 24 (NNN-ANADOLU) – Turkey would seek alternatives, if it could not acquire the U.S. F-35 fighter jets, Turkish Defence Minister, Hulusi Akar, said.

“All should be aware that Turkey will have to look for alternatives, if the F-35’s cannot be acquired for any reason,” Akar said, during an interview.

The Russia-made S-400 missile defence systems, Turkey recently procured, would not be integrated into the NATO systems, within the Turkish defence system, and would instead be part of a “stand-alone system,” the minister stated.

The market capitalisation (m-cap) of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) dropped Rs 39,118.6 crore to Rs 7,76,950.02 crore.

ISLAMABAD, Nov 23 (NNN-APP) — Pakistani Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Muhammad Hammad Azhar, said that, the World Bank (WB) has reinstated budgetary support to Pakistan, due to economic stability in the country.

“The World Bank has restored budgetary support to Pakistan on account of strengthening of economic stability,” said the minister, adding that, both the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and WB had suspended budgetary support to Pakistan in 2017, due to rising macroeconomic imbalances that had arisen in the country’s economy at the time.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump says he does not expect to be impeached, claiming Democrats have “absolutely nothing” incriminating, despite days of public testimony by witnesses who said Trump withheld aid from Ukraine to press the country to investigate his political rivals.

Trump told “Fox & Friends” on Friday, “I think it’s very hard to impeach you when they have absolutely nothing.” Trump said if the House did vote to impeach him, he would welcome a trial in the Senate.

Paris, 22 Nov 2019; AA: NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg highlighted the importance of Turkey for the alliance in an interview Thursday with French newspaper Le Figaro. 

“All allies have criticized the operation, but no one questioned Turkey’s place in NATO,” Stoltenberg told the paper, referring to Operation Peace Spring launched by Turkey in October.
