27 April 2022; MEMO: Israeli air strikes near Syria's capital, Damascus, have killed nine people, including five Syrian soldiers, in the deadliest such raid since the start of 2022, a war monitor said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said an ammunition depot and several positions linked to Iran's military presence in Syria were among the targets.

DAMASCUS, Apr 27 (NNN-SANA) – Four soldiers were killed and three others were injured, and some material damages were caused, by an Israeli aerial act of aggression on some sites in the vicinity of Damascus.

“At about 12:41 a.m. on Wednesday (last night), the Israeli enemy launched an aerial act of aggression with bursts of missiles from the direction of Tiberias, targeting some sites in the vicinity of Damascus,” a military source said.

15 April 2022; MEMO: Syrian state media said late Thursday that Israeli warplanes carried out air strikes targeting the capital Damascus, Anadolu Agency reports.

Israeli air elements carried out the attack from the direction of the Golan Heights, the official Syrian news agency SANA reported.

The attack targeted some locations in the western Damascus countryside, it noted.

SANA added that Syria's air defense systems intercepted and downed some of the missiles and only material losses were suffered.

The missile strike was initiated from the airspace of Lebanon, targeting military sites in central Syria, a military source was quoted as saying.

The Syrian air defences intercepted most missiles, it said, adding, the attack left damage only.

It’s the latest Israeli strike to hit Syrian sites in Syria.

10 April 2022; MEMO: Syrian air defences confronted an "Israeli air aggression" on Saturday in the country's central region, Syrian state media reported, Reuters reported.

"At 6:45 pm today, the Israeli enemy launched an air aggression from the north of Lebanon, targeting some points in the central region," state media said citing a military source.

Israel's military declined to comment on the reported air strikes in Syria.

IDLIB, Syria/BEIRUT, April 10 (Reuters) - Abdel Hamid al-Youssef said 25 members of his family, including his wife and infant twins, were killed when poison gas was dropped on their town in Syria in 2017, in an attack a U.N.-backed inquiry concluded was launched by the Syrian state.

"In seconds, everything was erased. Life was completely erased," Youssef, 33, said of the sarin attack that struck the town of Khan Sheikhoun, one of scores of times chemical weapons have reportedly been used in the country's 11-year-old war.
