MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/: Moscow sent comprehensive proposals on a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan to Baku and Yerevan, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during a briefing Thursday.

"Our comprehensive proposals were sent to Baku and Yerevan; as we have announced earlier, Russian Foreign Minister’s special representative Igor Khovayev made a series of visits to the region for consultations on this issue," she said.

KUBINKA, October 5. /TASS/: It will be extremely difficult or even impossible to stabilize the situation on the global food markets without Russia’s participation, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Wednesday.

"The real progress" is visible in a lot of agricultural lines in Russia, the Prime Minister noted. "Evaluating these results, we see Russia is not merely able to support itself but also to make a serious contribution to global food security, working proactively on international markets," Mishustin said.

MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/: The EU countries will have to face the truth and admit that they were betrayed by their allies in the situation involving the Nord Stream incidents, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel on Wednesday.

She drew attention to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak’s statement that Russia was ready to supply gas through the undamaged Nord Stream 2 pipeline string.

GROZNY, October 5. /TASS/: Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has set a record on the number of sanctions, imposed against any one person in the world, according to a certificate, presented to Kadyrov by the Russian Book of Records editor-in-chief Stanislav Konenko.

October 5 marks the 204th anniversary of the city of Grozny and Kadyrov’s 46th birthday.

MOSCOW, October 4. /TASS/: Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 21,687 over the past day to 21,094,872, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Tuesday.

This is the lowest since August 9, when 16,325 cases were registered. A day earlier, 24,158 daily cases were recorded nationwide.

As many as 3,038 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, up by 179.2% from a day earlier. The number of hospitalized patients decreased in nine regions, while in 76 regions the figure increased. A day earlier, 1,088 people were rushed to hospitals.

MOSCOW, Oct 4 (Reuters) - The Kremlin praised Tesla boss Elon Musk on Tuesday for suggesting a possible peace deal to end the war in Ukraine, after Kyiv rebuked Musk for proposing terms it views as rewarding Russia.

"It is very positive that somebody like Elon Musk is looking for a peaceful way out of this situation," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters in a conference call.

"Compared to many professional diplomats, Musk is still searching for ways to achieve peace. And achieving peace without fulfilling Russia's conditions is absolutely impossible," he added.

MOSCOW, Oct 4 (Reuters) - The Kremlin said on Tuesday that it did not want to take part in "nuclear rhetoric" from the West after a media report that Russia was preparing to demonstrate its willingness to use nuclear weapons in its conflict with Ukraine.

The Times newspaper reported on Monday that the NATO military alliance had warned members that President Vladimir Putin was set to demonstrate his willingness to use nuclear weapons by carrying out a nuclear test on Ukraine's border.
