India: Nine female mechanics get training at Fazalganj roadways workshop

Kanpur: The women workers at the Fazalganj roadways workshop with the desire to become a mechanic, are working hard for eight hours of duty.

The senior foreman of Roadways Workshop CP Shukla said that for the first time nine women mechanics are being trained in the workshop.

Trainee women will lift and work heavy parts of buses and machines.

The women workers told that the future was secure in the technical field.

Therefore, after completing the driver's training for 16 months, the path to become a mechanic would be surely clear.

Soni Gautam, a resident of Rawatpur village, is taking training to become a mechanic with niece Purti Gautam and niece Akanksha Gautam.

Women are progressing fast in every field. It is important to build this confidence.

Under the skill development scheme, nine trainee women have been posted in the workshop under the Peace Mill Scheme.

Moving forward in the technical field of women is a positive message, said Tularam, Service Manager, Roadways Workshop Fazalganj.
