Chaos grips Kanpur-Sagar highway as fishes fall in collision

Kanpur: A strange sight was seen all along  Harbaspur village of Bidhnu on the Kanpur-Sagar State Highway on Monday morning.

Following the collision of two trucks, people stopped the vehicle and started looting fish.

The traffic on the highway also came to a standstill due to the chaos as the people looting the fish were uncontrolled on the highway.

The injured drivers were admitted to the hospital by the police. Further, the damaged vehicles were removed to normalise the traffic.

The truck loaded with fish was coming from Andhra Pradesh to reach Lucknow. Cleaner Raju was also present on the truck along with the driver Suresh, a resident of Andhra Pradesh.

The truck driver trying to overtake a DCM laden with wood collided near Harbaspur village here. The DCM coming from the front collided face to face with the truck.

The uncontrolled truck came to a halt after hitting a tree on the side of the highway and the driver Suresh and cleaner Raju, who was trapped in the cabin, were injured.

The DCM driver fled the spot. The fish laden in the truck were scattered on the highway, for which there was a pursuit among the people to loot the fishes.

After removing the fish-gatherers and removing the truck, the traffic was smooth. The police station in-charge Amit Kumar Mishra told that action will be taken after registering a case based on Tahrir.
