Jordan’s Planning Minister Tests Positive For COVID-19

AMMAN, Jan 25 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Nasser Shraideh, said yesterday that, he tested positive for COVID-19.

Shraideh said that, he was in a stable health condition and adhering to home isolation procedures and infection protocols.

Also yesterday, Jordan reported the highest daily COVID-19 cases, since the beginning of the pandemic, with 11,478 new infections, increasing the caseload to 1,152,526, the Jordanian Ministry of Health said, in a statement.

The positive rate of COVID-19 tests stood at 22.98 percent, the statement said, noting that, there are currently 49,357 active cases in the country.

The statement added that, the total number of people who have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has reached 4,556,988, while 4,168,651 have got their second shot.
