Venezuela continues to develop despite US blockade: Pres Maduro

CARACAS, Nov 6 (NNN-Prensa Latina) — Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro stressed on Tuesday that Venezuela is moving forward despite the tightening of the US economic blockade.

‘The year 2019 has been a complex one, hard, full of conspiracies, plots, international aggressions and many lessons learned. We prove that Venezuela can triumph and move forward victorious throughout the 21st century, with the flag of the Revolution flying high,’ the president tweeted.

Maduro highlighted how in spite of the coercive and unilateral measures imposed by Washington, the country advances and defends its sovereignty.

On Sunday, during the close of the III Anti-Imperialist Solidarity Conference, for Democracy and against Neoliberalism, held in Havana, Cuba, the Venezuelan head of state praised the struggles of the Latin American and Caribbean peoples against capitalism and the neoliberal policies that the United States and its international allies intend to impose.

Delegates from the five continents expressed their support for Venezuela throughout the event and in the final declaration.

Similarly, on Nov 1, on inaugurating the Christmas festivities, Maduro said that the end of this year would be a celebration of peace, even though the Venezuelan right and the United States continue to devise plans to destabilize the country, pointing out that nothing will interrupt Venezuelans’ tranquility.
