Moscow expects US to shape its policy towards Russia within a month, says diplomat

MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/: Moscow expects that the United States’ Joe Biden-led administration will make up its mind regarding its policy on the Russian track within a month’s time, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told the Ekho Moskvy radio station in an interview on Wednesday.

"I believe that the priorities are to be identified within the current month. Also, they are to begin to implement them," she said.

Russia confirms over 4 mln COVID-19 cases since start of pandemic

MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/: Russia confirmed 14,494 COVID-19 cases over the past day and the total case tally reached 4,012,710, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Wednesday.

For the first time since October 17 the daily case tally was below 15,000. In relative terms the growth rate in new cases stood at 0.36%.

"Two Tu-160 strategic missile-carrying bombers performed a planned flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Barents, Greenland and Norwegian seas. The flight lasted about 12 hours," the ministry said.

Russia’s Progress cargo spacecraft splashes down in Pacific

MOSCOW, February 9. /TASS/: The Russian Progress MS-15 resupply ship that undocked from the International Space Station on Tuesday splashed down in the Pacific Ocean outside shipping routes, Russia’s State Space Corporation Roscosmos announced.

"The Progress MS-15 quit the Earth’s orbit and ceased to exist. The spaceship’s non-combustible fragments that did not burn up in the dense layers of the atmosphere fell at about 12:13 p.m. Moscow time into the ‘spacecraft cemetery’ in the non-navigable area of the Southern Pacific," Roscosmos specified.

Russia’s Su-57 fifth-generation fighter gets maximally automated cockpit

MOSCOW, February 8. /TASS/: Russia’s Su-57 fifth-generation multirole fighter received the cockpit with the maximum degree of automated processes, the United Aircraft Corporation (part of the state tech corporation Rostec) said in its New Horizons corporate magazine on Monday.

The Su-57 features the maximum automation of piloting and combat employment processes, which has helped specialists develop a one-seat multirole fighter, the publication says.
