Shanghai Oil Contract threatens to overturn U.S. dollar hegemony

Sep 15, 2017: After years of planning, China is threatening to launch a crude oil futures contract priced in Yuan later this year. The contract would allow traders in China, and other countries, to bypass the U.S. dollar when purchasing oil.

Some 400 million voting-age citizens of EU member states have begun electing their next European Parliament. Many of their non-EU neighbors, adults residing legally and often long-term in the EU, cannot.
