India: Patchwork on dilapidated roads after completion of tender

Kanpur: The implementation of the Chief Minister's order to make the roads pothole-free does not seem to be completed within the deadline of November 15.

There are only 19 more days left in this. Patchwork was done on some roads of the city, but many roads in the south are still in bad shape.

The tender for patchwork of 56 roads will be invited with a amount of Rs 4.5 Crores, said the municipal commissioner here today.

There are big potholes on the crumbling roads. Many two-wheeler riders are often getting chuckled by falling.

The target of pothole-free roads with patchwork does not seem to be met in the stipulated time frame.

There are more than 30 potholes on the one-kilometre-long road from the Nandlal intersection to CTI. The road is crumbling in places.

The resident of Govind Nagar told that for a year, he has been complaining to the municipal authorities along with the local people about the construction of the road.
