KANPUR: Despite the state Chief Minister’s strict instructions for 24-hour uninterrupted power supply during the Diwali, the power supply appeared to have not improved in the city. About half-a-dozen power sub-stations in different areas remained inoperative on Sunday.
High-tension electric line of the Chhapar power sub-station was trapped in the morning which caused immediate disruption in the power supply to the general feeder for as many as four hours.
The Khasbazaar power sub-station also faced power interruption. As a result, the hapless residents were seen struggling for the drinking water too.
