KANPUR: An important decision in regard to the sale of firecrackers on approaching Diwali has been considered. Fresh license for sale of the firecrackers will not be issued. The past year's provisional licenses will get a renewal this year
The ADM (City) Vivek Srivastava said that as many as 375 applicants were provided with provisional licenses last year which will be renewed.
Besides, there will be complete prevention on firecrackers’ sale in the lanes of different localities.
All the ACMs and City Magistrates have also been directed to carry out a drive against illegal sale and manufacture of firecrackers in areas coming under their respective jurisdictions.
