NEW DELHI, Nov 27 (NNN-PTI) – Russian President, Vladimir Putin, will pay an official visit to India, on Dec 6, for the 21st India-Russia annual summit, with Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, India’s Ministry of External Affairs said yesterday.

At the summit, the two leaders will review the state and prospects of bilateral relations, and discuss ways to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The summit will also afford an opportunity to exchange views on regional, multilateral and international issues of mutual interest, said the ministry.

The last India-Russia annual summit was held in Sept, 2019, during Modi’s visit to Vladivostok, Russia.

The annual summit did not take place in 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This will be the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders, after the BRICS Summit in Brazil in Nov, 2019.
