India: Juhi container yard to ease exporters' discomforts

Kanpur: The third container yard will be developed at Juhi Coal Yard in view of increasing load of goods sent to foreign destinations.

Giving this information the deputy CTM Himanshu Sekhar Upadhyay said that it would give impetus to the city's small and large scale industries.

The businessmen would be able to book their goods effortlessly, he added.

It was as if the long-pending facility for the traders was going to be fulfilled with the news of turning the space available at Juhi coal rack into a little bigger purpose.

It was in the best interest of the traders to avail of this benefit for the delivery of their goods for the countries beyond the sea.

There is something positive for them now. Thus,  the railways will also load more luggage in the days to come.

According to the news report, the Panki Yard has the capacity of maintaining more than 1000 containers. While Govindpuri has a total capacity of above 800 containers. The advanced Juhi Yard will have more than 500 containers.
