Jajmau shops also frequented by female & child beggars

KANPUR: As we most frequently find the women and children asking for one, three more coins from the people turning up at the mall on Bada Chauraha, so we encounter with similar sort of beggars imploring for money in a very humble manner around the shops in Jajmau area.

These self-styled beggars have developed a habit of posing themselves as destitute. The little children appearing so apt in the practice that the soft-hearted persons cannot restraint themselves in paying some amount of money to them.

Seeing a woman in a black veil at the small-sized big bazaar shop old woman in tattered clothing and bare-footed approached her who paid money just at poor conditions. That old woman further implored another by showing her feet without slippers and succeeded further in getting a few bucks.

They roam from noon till the night. This, they earn enough as one beggar told was better to get than to sleep hungry. When they asked why should they not catch other profession? No satisfactory answer came from them.
