India: Crowd, noise irked Jajmau residents on Sunday

Kanpur: What pained the roadside residents in Jajmau area was an immense crowd and unbearable noise on Sunday evening onwards. A procession was being taken out on an occasion. The noise was, without doubt, more disturbing than the crowd surged on a particular day.

Troubled with the disturbance caused by the continued blaring of the loudspeakers, the residents felt if the sound was eliminated from the programme, there would not be a disturbance.

Not only this the electricity supply in the area was also disrupted. It was restored only after the procession was taken out.

The crowd on the road prompted vehicle owners to annoy as they could not find enough space to move on. Several had reacted that they felt it better to park the vehicle on the road. The drivers' skill was also worth seeing as they managed to wade through the scant space. However, most of the motorists were irked at the paucity of space in moving out.
