Russia ready to help solve global challenges, open to cooperation — diplomat

BAKU, October 26. /TASS/: Russia acknowledges its responsibility to solve the many challenges on the global landscape and is ready to do its part to facilitate said problems, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said at the 15th Verona Eurasian Economic Forum in Baku on Thursday.

The minister said international relations have become fragmented recently but the globalization of processes "continues to be a reality in terms of shared challenges and tasks."

"The pandemic, climate change, the green transition, population growth, food security, water use, artificial intelligence, strategic stability - all these tasks and challenges won’t disappear and will objectively require the development of algorithms to join efforts on a truly collective basis. And these efforts really have to be made by all the major players. Russia, which bears a special responsibility for solving these multiple problems <... > is ready to contribute," Grushko said.

He said Moscow is open to honest and equitable cooperation with all countries.
